I have been making good progress. So good that I have had very little time to just sit and filter through it all and put it into posts.
Since I last updated I have crossed the Great Basin in Wyoming, crossed into Colorado, met up with a work colleague, Caryn, and peddled into the mountains of Colorado taking on big climbs.
My health is good with nothing to report. I am tired at the end of these big days but I continue to love the challenge.
Many people have asked if I am on schedule. Well that is a tricky question. I think with the recent effort I am in a good place. We will see when I leave the GDMBR route and head across Kansas how realistic my timeline is. I am worried that heat in Kansas could be a repeat of Washington. We will see.
I hope to get across the last of the big climbs in the next 4 days sending me into Kansas within a week. I will be bummed to leave the GDMBR but I look forward to the next phase of this trip and seeing my family.
I hope to be able to return to more frequent posts after the workload subsides. The Rockies are no joke.
