Day – 54 Are we there yet?

This is a short post. As mom says if you don’t have anything nice to say…don’t. But I can’t help myself.

86 miles – that is my fault but hopefully will pay off tomorrow.

101 degree heat

20-30 mph breeze not directly in the face but certainly not helping

Humidity – like the bottom of a terrarium

Bugs – mosquitoes, biting flys, flys, and swarms of grass hoppers (they hurt when taken to the face).

It occurred to me today that Kansas is a repositioning state. Much like there were stretches of road on the GDMBR that just got you to the next great section, Kansas is a really long stretch getting me to something better. Namely my family and friends. It is just part of the trip that needs to be done.

Today was work…soooooo much work. Nothing bad happened but there was no joy.
